CastConditions respects your privacy. We do not collect, store, or share personal information unless you explicitly provide it.

Location Data

When you use the "Use my location" feature or enter a zip code, your coordinates are used temporarily to fetch weather and tide data from third-party APIs. These coordinates are not stored on our servers, not associated with any user profile, and not shared with any third party other than the weather APIs listed below.

Third-Party Data Services

CastConditions uses the following external services to deliver forecasts:

• Open-Meteo — real-time weather and barometric pressure data. Open-source, no personal data transmitted.
• NOAA Tides & Currents — official US government tide predictions. No personal data transmitted.
• Zippopotam.us — zip code to coordinates lookup. No personal data transmitted.
• BigDataCloud — reverse geocoding to convert coordinates to a city name. Your IP address may be transmitted as part of the HTTP request.

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history and interests. You can opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.

Cookies

CastConditions does not set first-party cookies. Google AdSense may set third-party cookies for ad personalization as described above.

Affiliate Disclosure

CastConditions.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We earn a small commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.

Analytics

We may use anonymous, aggregated analytics to understand how our pages are used. No personally identifiable information is collected or retained.
